ROWE MORROW FUNDRAISER AT THE KURRAJONG HEIGHTS BOWLING CLUB
Mick's Garden Shed was recently involved in a Rosemary Morrow facilitated workshop called Designing for Disaster. Well, that was my working title. Eric brocken and I got the idea from a chapter in Rowe's seminal work on Teaching Permaculture. The venue was at the Kurrajong Heights Bowling club . We were lucky enough to snag Rowe before she flew off to another far flung destination. It was generously sponsored by the Hawkesbury City Council and opened by the lady mayor Sara MacMahon. We had twenty one participants including Franklin Scarf from ther Earth Repair Foundation, members of the local RFS, EarthCare representatives, several Bilpin property owners effected by the Gosper's Mountain bushfires and locals from Mt Tomah , Kurrajong and a contingent of "permies" from the upper Blue Mountains. A delicious Chiang Mai style lunch was supplied by my fiance and Eric kept our blood sugar stable with local pastries and cake from the Grumpy Baker.
